A memo was sent to all Faculty in late April regarding the Graduate School Commencement.  This memo is summarized below:

SPRING 2024 MEMORANDUM

RE:           Faculty Participation in Commencement 

Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to ask for your help in encouraging faculty to participate in the Graduate School Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2024. Please forward this memo to any of your faculty who teach and mentor graduate students. 

THE CEREMONY

The Graduate School Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 on Healy Lawn (rain or shine on Healy Lawn; severe weather site is McDonough Gymnasium). Students will begin assembling at 7:15 a.m. with master's students in White-Gravenor and ICC, and doctoral students assembling in ICC Room 115.  Faculty will assemble at 7:50 a.m. on Red Square under the arch. The academic procession will begin at exactly 8:35 a.m.; the Commencement Ceremony itself will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. 

PARTICIPATION

Response Form: All graduate faculty are welcome to participate in the academic procession and to be seated onstage. If you wish to participate in the Commencement ceremony, please complete the Faculty Commencement Participation Form, available now at the link below, no later than Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

            FACULTY COMMENCEMENT PARTICIPATION FORM 

Academic Regalia: All participants, faculty and students, are required to wear appropriate academic regalia. If you do not own academic regalia, you may contact Jostens and request rental regalia (Jostens 1-800-854-7464).  The Graduate School does not provide or loan academic regalia.
